EXCLUSIVE MEDIA PREVIEW – SEPTEMBER 13, 2017 BEGINNING AT 12 NOON
GOLDMAN’S IRREVERENT ART FORCES SERIOUS CONVERSATION AND A BIT OF HUMOR
New York, New York – (September 5, 2017) – Todd Goldman has never shied away from controversy or risk. As an artist, his expressions and use of color has set him apart from numerous other artists who use art as their way of making a statement and sending a message. Goldman will make a special appearance at the highly anticipated art exhibit, Never Grow Up, set to open September 14, 2017 at The Ross Art Group in New York. On Wednesday, September 13, 2017, Goldman will host an exclusive sneak peek media preview of the over 100 pieces of original art that has not only inspired conversation but also his books, television projects and a new launch of emojis. On Thursday, September 14th, 2017, “Never Grow Up” officially opens to the public and Goldman will make a second appearance where he will meet and greet fans and collectors.
Throughout the collection, Goldman paints sincere messages that resonates his desire to see everyone get along and for everyone to be treated equal. From the “Let’s All Get Along” painting featuring a vanilla and chocolate ice cream cone holding hands to the “Give Peas a Chance” featuring green peas smiling across the canvas, Goldman’s art provokes second thoughts. There’s also the more humorous side and those of which remind you of the best emoji designs you dare to post. “I Bring Nothing to the Table,” “Size Does Matter,” “This Sucks,” “Kiss My Ass,” “I Am Gay,” and “We’re the Same Color you Idiot” are all paintings which simply say what others are also thinking. As part of the exclusive exhibit, Goldman has also painted an “If You Think My Hands Are Tiny….” painting featuring Donald Trump in a diaper, fingers poised as if he is stating the obvious. This one-of-a-kind painting will be unveiled at The Ross Art Group in New York at the official opening event where Todd Goldman will also appear in person.
The pop culture icon is a self-professed Professional Doodler, as well as a popular author, fashion designer and producer. Celebrities like Sir Paul McCartney, Rihanna, and others own original Goldman artworks and his simple yet exuberant subjects have created a pop culture phenomenon. His art has also inspired books and he is currently working on a new children’s book, exclusive memes and more television projects.
Goldman’s art is an unabashed satire on adult behavior expressed with a youthful vision. No subject matter is off limits. Often described as a bit irreverent and a bit controversial but always entertaining, no two subjects are alike and his exhibit is expected to draw domestic and international crowds.
